Brazwells is on Montford Drive, a short block off Park Road in Parkdale. It publishes no dog policy. The website runs to five pages — home, daily specials, about, careers, and a party-booking form — and not one of them mentions dogs, pets, or the patio. This listing rests on visitor reports instead: two Charlotte dog-friendly roundups name the pub, and one of them says guests eat on the patio with their dogs. That is the whole evidentiary basis for it.

The deck is out back. A Nextdoor neighbor describes “a very nice deck out back where you can enjoy your food and the outdoors,” and third-party listings describe it as built around the trees on the lot. Whether dogs are welcome across all of the outdoor seating or only part of it isn’t published anywhere.

Nothing about leashes or water bowls is published either. Mecklenburg County’s animal ordinance, Sec. 3-71, requires physical restraint anywhere off your own property, so county law is the operative rule outside regardless. North Carolina’s food code, 15A NCAC 18A .2656, is what makes a restaurant patio legal for dogs in the first place. Restaurants can still say no. Brazwells hasn’t said anything either way in writing.

The pub dates itself to 1969 and takes its name from William Joel Braswell, a Central High basketball captain from the class of 1949 who sang and did impressions around Charlotte and died in 2006. The about page tells that story and little else.

Specials are posted by day. Monday is $3 well drinks and $6 vodka Red Bull, Tuesday half-price wine, Wednesday $4 drafts and $3 off specialty cocktails. Saturday and Sunday both run $3 mimosas and a $5 bloody mary bar. Lunch is 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., with a $10 pot roast and $2 beef tacos on the list. Trivia is Wednesday nights, and craft night lands the third Thursday every other month with supplies and a drink included in the ticket.
