Skiptown sits at 222 Rampart Street on the western edge of South End, and it isn’t a public park. Entry is $20 per dog per visit, $5 for each additional dog in the household. Social Club membership runs $25 a month or $250 a year, with VIP and Clean Pup Plan tiers layering on pet-care perks. A free basic membership attaches once a dog has a profile in the Skiptown app, and the app isn’t optional: “Even with a membership, all dogs must be registered in the Skiptown app to play at Skiptown.”

Three vaccines get checked. Bordetella, distemper/parvo, rabies, with records “on veterinary letterhead” from a licensed vet. At-home vaccinations are refused outright. Sixteen weeks is the floor on age, and dogs older than six months must be spayed or neutered, with exceptions considered on a vet’s recommendation for delay. Breed isn’t a factor.

Humans have a gate of their own. Twenty-one and over, valid government-issued ID, and human-only visitors clear that bar without buying a day pass.

Play is off-leash inside fenced playgrounds, indoor and outdoor, over artificial turf, with tunnels and a splash pad the site labels seasonal. No outside treats or toys. The whole building is non-smoking, vapes included, indoors and out. Cameras run throughout and staff called Skippers work the floor, but responsibility is stated plainly: “Your dog is your responsibility while visiting the bar and park and should be monitored at all times.” Dogs “who exhibit extreme discomfort or reactive tendencies will be asked to leave.”

Twenty-plus drafts, wine, cocktails, and a non-alcoholic list of mocktails, juices, soft drinks, and kombuchas. Seating with bar-to-table ordering. The bar and park run 10am–9pm Monday through Friday, 11am–9pm Saturday, 11am–8pm Sunday. Daycare, boarding, and grooming keep a separate clock, 7am to 7pm daily, and those require a Compatibility Day assessment first. The bar and park don’t.

Water bowls go unmentioned anywhere on the site. Tables, breed meet-ups, birthday parties, and full park buyouts can be reserved. Lucky Dog Bark & Brew on Thrift Road is the city’s other 21-and-over off-leash bar, about ten minutes northwest.
