MOGROG publishes nothing about dogs. It’s a rotisserie built into a 1973 Unimog, so where a dog can stand depends entirely on whose ground the truck is parked on. Their site names two places.

In winter the truck becomes MOGROG Cafe at Alpine Meadows, set next to Achieve Tahoe at the bottom of the Subway chair, close to the parking lot at 2680 Alpine Meadows Road. That ground belongs to Palisades Tahoe, which publishes the rule: “Leashed dogs are permitted in The Village at Palisades Tahoe and our parking lots year-round.” Two limits land near the truck. Dogs are barred from the sundeck and breezeway of the Alpine main lodge, the closest sit-down space to the window. Pets are also barred from ski runs and chairlifts during the winter season, backpacks included. The resort’s affirmative permission names the Village and the parking lots specifically; it doesn’t describe the strip of base area between the lot and the lift, which is where the truck actually sits.

Service is through a window. The FAQ describes ordering and asking for modifications there. The site doesn’t describe seating of any kind, and it doesn’t mention water bowls one way or the other.

The summer address is Commons Beach, and dogs are not allowed on that beach. TCPUD’s rule reads: “No dogs are allowed on Commons Beach, except for leashed dogs on the paved multi-use trail.” The Tahoe City Farmers Market runs in the same footprint on Thursday mornings, and MOGROG lists itself among the trucks there. The market’s own rule: “Pets aren’t allowed in the stall area, but you can use our ‘Doggy Jail,’ located next to the old jail by the entrance. Simply leash your pup to the provided slackline; shade and water are available.” That puts a leashed dog in shade at the entrance while someone else walks the stalls.
