Mountain Slice Pizzeria and Creamery occupies a small storefront at 690 North Lake Boulevard, east of the Tahoe City “Y.” The restaurant publishes no dog policy. Its website covers hours, the daily dough limit, and the ice cream, and says nothing about dogs one way or the other. The Instagram bio doesn’t either. This listing rests on visitor reports.
Two of them, both third-party guides. Epic Lake Tahoe’s Tahoe City dog guide groups the Slice with the town’s dog-friendly patios, notes outdoor seating, and tells readers to call ahead and confirm. Casago’s North Lake Tahoe restaurant directory describes a patio and dogs welcome on it. What the two agree on is narrow: dogs are reported at the outdoor tables, not inside. That’s the whole of what this page claims.
Inside is small. The website describes seating as first come, first served, with no reservations. Dough is made from scratch each morning in a fixed quantity, and once the day’s dough is spoken for, pizza orders stop for the night — the site asks people to call or come in early, after the noon open, to set a pizza aside for a later pickup. Selling out before closing is routine there, not rare.
No leash rule is published. Placer County’s leash law applies by default. Nothing published about water bowls either.
Both directories also describe a “Man’s Best Friend” pizza, plain meat with no seasoning, meant to be split with a dog. The restaurant’s own menu page doesn’t list it. Unconfirmed.
North Lake Boulevard here is State Route 28, the through road between Tahoe City and Kings Beach, so any outdoor table sits a few feet off highway traffic. Tahoe Tap Haus is a few blocks west along the same boulevard. 64-Acres Park and the paved trail network start at the Y, a short drive southwest.
